Kyoko Sakura / Mahou Shoujo ( Modular Spear )
"Contract?" With the help of Kyuubey, the only thing you need is a wish, and the willingness to become a magical girl that fights witches, of course. Once the deal is made, a Soul Gem is produced, and although its true nature remains a mystery at first, one thing is certain: it is the source of a magical girl's power.

With an overall added boost to strength, defense, agility and speed, the Soul Gem transforms Kyoko Sakura into the sort of magical girl you read about in manga. Armed with a weapon, in this case a Lance. A magical girl must take her duty of defeating witches seriously, in order to make sure that her Soul Gem remains colourful and bright -- and purifying witches is the only way to ensure that happens. (Note; for the sake of Melodies of Life, defeating monsters will fulfil this purpose, though a far greater number of sacrifices are needed. ie. one witch = 5-10 monsters.)

Strengths:
A veteran of the game, and a natural born fighter Kyoko is a powerful and refined magical girl with experience on her side. Her prowess in battles, be it due to an actual desire to do good or the selfish desire to live gives her a fiendishly strong conviction to win at any cost. Much of the redhead’s tactics focus her weapon, whose ability to transform gives Kyoko a surprising amount of versatility in the battlefield. The power of her soul gem gives uncanny endurance levels which allows Kyoko to keep fighting with injuries long past when anyone should have fallen to them – though the need for this particular attribute is best avoided.
Weaknesses:
Kyoko’s abilities rely on magic which is not unlimited, her soul gem requires an infusion after battles to keep fighting. Too prolonged of a fight may result in weakening over time, in dire consequences retreat, or worse. As a skilled fighter with a cocky attitude she’s known to utilize enormous amounts of magic with reckless abandon in displays of great strength and power, certain she can easily gain more. Her melee class brings her close to the action and therefore the danger, her skirts do not offer a fitting armor class for this role.

Initial Soul Gem Transforms into Mahou Shoujo Kyoko Sakura! Summons a lance, with a significant boost to base stats.
One Month Stigmata Can manipulate length of her lance.
Two Months Chastity Utilize magical agility skills and pole vault off lance for advanced parkour.
Three Months Crucify A rapid series of forward thrusts of the spear with enhanced speed while modifying the weapon’s length.
Four Months Inquisition Halberd extends into a modular spear with chained link sectionals, allowing Kyoko to dole out blunt force damage like a ball and chain.
Six Months Penance Weapon can now be manipulated at will by combining magic and force. Unlocks the following abilities: striking with chain portions like a whip, attacking with lance head like a scorpion’s tail, wrapping chain around and capturing enemies.
Nine Months Latticework Barrier Creates a magical barrier that covers the battle field, holding enemies – or allies, at bay. Attacks are ineffective from both sides when in use.
One Year Sacrifice Soul gem is infused with magical energy until it creates mass area of effect explosion. Attack results in character death.

History: wiki link , Drama CD Summary
Personality:
Kyoko is best looked at in two layers. The first and most visible, likely to lead to a bad first impression contains defense mechanisms built on a foundation of survival instincts.

Selfish, uncouth and abrasive. This is a girl who lost everything and blames herself. Kyoko is a lone wolf with no intention of looking for a pack, which can make her come across as very standoffish. She’s removed herself so far from morality that she becomes the antithesis of the truth and justice model magical girls embody, to the extreme that Kyoko enters the series trying to take down a fellow magical girl.

Additionally, as a component of overcoming trauma she had previously endured, she seemed to be phased by very little. Even finding out her soul has been ripped from her body – which devastates others Kyoko is able to shrug it off as soon as the next day, casually referring to herself as a “zombie”. For Kyoko it’s all about living in the moment and rolling with the punches. She does not really seem to care what she does, or who she hurts in the process. For a long time she has worked at this ruthless outward appearance, even quoted to say, "If you’re just living for your own sake it’s all up to you. No hard feelings. No regrets."

She strives to be the top of the food chain, a survival of the fittest motto. So much as to suggest not killing familiars which later become witches until they have “Eaten a few people so they can drop grief seeds,” which magical girls needs to survive. So, why be nice – to people she’s going to 'eat?' And the magical girl does love eating, an astounding amount. It seems as though whenever she makes the scene, she is forever stuffing her face with something. Having known the pains of starvation when she was young, Kyoko never seems to want to let go of it. She’s sharp tongued but, while quick with a retort, is rather awkward when being open with her feelings. However, her mood is clearly reflected in the way she chomps away, munching absent mindedly on the nearest snack when things are normal or ravenously devouring away a mountain of food when upset, as if it could somehow quell her troubles. If she is to show any approval towards someone – it often starts with a gesture of offering food of some kind.

The second, hidden layer belies the girl who first wished to become a magical girl, born from a selfless wish for her family. A natural at fighting because she took up the role with the enthusiasm of someone who wanted to help others, Kyoko strove to be the best magical girl she could be. Initially, in fact, she professes that she does not mind spending the rest of her life fighting because, “Protecting the happiness of others, that is my wish.” Scratch deep enough and this girl is still there, just as her father’s cross is kept safely tucked in her hair tie. There is a kindness, somewhere deep within – it has just been very jaded. This side of her was willing to be vulnerable in front of Sayaka – another magical girl, even though the two initially fought – to try to spare the other girl a tragic fate. Even though there was no gain for her – she does have a hidden selfless, protective, and even self sacrificing nature. Kyoko is still a good person underneath all the bitterness, in the right circumstances that kindness could be brought to the surface once again.

Mannerism wise the veteran fighter knows she is good and it shows. She is cocky, competitive and enjoys a good fight. Fierce and fiery like her red hair, she goes about everything with enthusiasm. Skirts and frills of her outfit aside, she comes off as tomboyish and athletic, which matches perfectly with how she stuffs her face. She gives off a very “bad girl” attitude, a bully even when she has good intentions – such as warning another girl off of making a wish by threatening that she will “pound her” if the girl makes the decision when she has a happy family and life she can continue to live instead. The type to skip class and go to the arcade, if not the one to downright drop out and lurk around starting trouble. She is an obnoxious brat and enjoys riling people up for kicks. This may take the form of being downright cruel to anger them with harsh words. Towards the rare people she has genuine affection or interest in, it becomes more playful teasing. Kyoko is very straightforward and “tells it like it is” even when this is something people do not want to hear.

Third-Person Sample:
1) musebox thread

2) Repositioning a stick of pocky to the opposite side of her mouth, Kyoko’s feet light up the DDR machine. She wasn’t really watching the screen – she must have gone through each dance a dozen times, although it felt like hundreds. Still, she was enjoying herself, even showboating by adding extra flare while listening to Homura state her proposition.

A temporary alliance, huh? That’s what the girl wanted? Kyoko had not teamed up with another magical girl since Mami, which had not ended well... and now, Mami was... Teeth snap at the chocolate covered wafer stick as the magical girl kills half of it, one foot coming down entirely too hard on the arcade petal.

PERFECT!

Ah, good she almost missed it... that one. There’s a few more too fast bites, the stick vanishes and with a shake of the box clutched in one hand a replacement gets flicked into her mouth in an unwasted motion. Quickly throwing herself into the repetitive steps of the dance, a grin soon finds its way back to her lips. Damn she’s good at this.

Ah, hell – she’d stopped paying attention to the creepy girl.

What was she going on about now? The blue haired novice? For whatever reason, this goth chick wanted things with her ended quietly. All the while going off on how the rookie wasn’t cut out to be a magical girl. It’s not like Kyoko didn’t know well enough by now, most girls are just not cut out to last long. That’s just the way it was. Certainly with the clumsy way that cloaked girl fought her, she was at a huge disadvantage. Yet, the way she had hung in there, maybe Kyoko found herself admiring that a little. Made her fun to fight, at least. Resolve things with Sayaka Miki peacefully huh?

Not a chance, how boring was that?

The song ends, scrolling back to the title screen, Kyoko turns towards the stoic girl, red ponytail whipping around after. Greeting her new temporary ally with a smirk. Beat one silly witch and gain all this territory, why the hell not? What did she have to lose? The box of treats get jostled lightly towards her fellow magical girl in offering,

“Want one?”

Mognet Sample:
Hey these giant bird things everyone loves just so you know, you all look ridiculous riding them. Like anime characters! What are you doing. It made me laugh so hard I choked. And I hate wasting food, so now I hate those stupid giant chickens.

Got me wondering what they taste like? I can't be the only one. Is it gonna be you fry them up and there's no surprise, everything's supposed to taste like chicken as they say anyway so why not a huge one. But, hey, this is some crazy different world where people ride around on birds, maybe everything tastes like pork!

Figure I’ll just find out for myself. So if you have one tell it "bye bye" instead of "see you later" tonight just cuz you might find it gone come morning.
Hahaha!
